The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2001 by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards, bass) and Dave Keuning (lead guitar, backing vocals). After the band went through several short-term bassists and drummers, Mark Stoermer (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) joined in 2002.

The Killers have released seven studio albums, each of which topped the UK Albums Chart: Hot Fuss (2004), Sam's Town (2006), Day & Age (2008), Battle Born (2012), Wonderful Wonderful (2017), Imploding the Mirage (2020), and Pressure Machine (2021). The band have also released three compilation albums: Sawdust (2007), Direct Hits (2013), and Rebel Diamonds (2023), all of which have charted in the top 10 of the UK Albums chart.

The Killers are considered one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st century, selling more than 35 million records worldwide. They have performed in over 50 countries and on six continents, headlining venues such as Madison Square Garden, Wembley Stadium, Glastonbury Festival (2007 and 2019), and Electric Picnic (2023).

The Killers est un groupe américain de rock alternatif, originaire de Las Vegas dans le Nevada. Formé en 2001, il se compose de Brandon Flowers, David Brent « Dave » Keuning, Mark Stoermer et Ronald « Ronnie » Vannucci Jr.

Leur musique est influencée par des références incontournables des années 1980 et des années 1990 comme Depeche Mode, Magnum, Oasis, David Bowie, Duran Duran, The Cars, The Waterboys, New Order ou encore The Smiths. Leur premier album Hot Fuss (2004) est un succès mondial. Leur titre le plus populaire, Mr. Brightside, en est issu. Le groupe sort son second opus Sam's Town (2006). S'ensuit une compilation de nouvelles chansons, d'inédites et de faces B intitulée Sawdust (2007). La vente cumulée de ces 3 albums atteint les 12 millions d'exemplaires et assoit les Killers comme une valeur sûre de la scène internationale. Ils reviennent sur les devants de celle-ci avec la sortie de leur album Day and Age le 24 novembre 2008. Puis, après une interruption de quatre ans, au cours laquelle Brandon et Ronnie ont tous deux sorti un album solo, ils reviennent avec Battle Born en 2012, Wonderful Wonderful en 2017, et Imploding the Mirage en 2020.
