Frederick Nathaniel "Toots" Hibbert, (8 December 1942 – 11 September 2020) was a Jamaican singer and songwriter who was the lead vocalist for the reggae and ska band Toots and the Maytals. A reggae pioneer, he performed for six decades and helped establish some of the fundamentals of reggae music. Hibbert's 1968 song "Do the Reggay" is widely credited as the genesis of the genre name reggae. His band's album True Love won a Grammy Award in 2005.

Frederick Nathaniel Hibbert, dit Toots Hibbert, né le 8 décembre 1942 à May Pen en Jamaïque et mort le 11 septembre 2020 à l'âge de 77 ans, à Kingston (Jamaïque), est un chanteur jamaïcain de reggae et de ska.
On lui doit l'invention de la définition du genre musical mondialement popularisé par la suite avec sa chanson Do the Reggay en 1967. Il est par ailleurs le chanteur du groupe Toots and the Maytals qu'il a fondé avec Jerry Mathias et Raleigh Gordon.
