Get Scared is an American post-hardcore band from Layton, Utah, formed in 2008. After their formation they released their first EP Cheap Tricks and Theatrics in 2009. A self-titled EP followed several months later in 2010. The band's debut studio album, Best Kind of Mess, was released in July 2011. Following Nicholas Matthews' first departure to join Blacklisted Me, the band released Cheap Tricks and Theatrics B-Sides in December 2011 without any previous announcements. Matthews was replaced by Joel Faviere near the end of 2011. The band's third EP and first with Faviere, Built for Blame, Laced With Shame, was released in 2012; Faviere was kicked out a few months after the EP's release when Matthews rejoined the band. Following Matthews' comeback, the band signed with Fearless Records and released their second full-length album, Everyone's Out to Get Me, in 2013. The band's third studio album, Demons, was released in 2015, and marked a departure from the band's post-hardcore sound featured on Built for Blame and Everyone's Out to Get Me in favor of a more metalcore-like sound. Their fourth and final album, The Dead Days, was released in 2019 amidst a hiatus; it was later stated by vocalist Nicholas Matthews that the band had broken up due to multiple issues between the band members. Though the band announced a reunion in 2022, plans initially seemed to fall through; however in 2025 they stated that they had been writing new music since then.

Get Scared est un groupe de metal alternatif américain de Layton (Utah). Formé en 2008, le groupe a sorti son premier EP "Cheap Tricks and Theatrics" en 2009, puis un second "Cheap Tricks and Theatrics B-Sides" un an plus tard. Un autre EP, "Get Scared" est sorti en 2010, incluant des chansons comme "Voodoo" (Une nouvelle version de leur précédente chanson "If She Only Knew Voodoo Like I Do" présente sur "Cheap Tricks and Theatrics"), "Deepest Cut" et "Sarcasm" (Une révision de "Setting Yourself Up For Sarcasm" de l'album "Cheap Tricks and Theatrics") où est présent Craig Mabbitt. Leur premier véritable album, Best Kind of Mess, est sorti le 12 juillet 2011. Nicholas Matthews a ensuite quitté le groupe, à cause de problèmes mentaux et de conflits d’intérêts. Matthews a alors été remplacé par Joel Faviere en 2011. Avec Faviere, Get Scared sort un EP en 2012, intitulé "Built for Blame, Laced With Shame". Joel Faviere est alors renvoyé di groupe lors du retour de Nicholas Matthews en 2012, après lequel le groupe s'accocie à Fearless Records. Avec Nicholas Matthews, le groupe sort un second album le 11 novembre 2013, Everyone's Out To Get Me. Le 1er avril 2014, Get Scared produit une chanson dans la compilation Punk Goes 90s 2, en jouant un morceau phare de Lit : "My Own Worst Enemy". Le groupe a aussi joué sur le Vans Warped Tour. Ils sortent un album portant le titre Demons le 30 octobre 2015, puis sortent The Dead Days le 19 Avril 2019. Le groupe se sépare peu après à cause de conflicts entre les différents membres du groupe. Cependant, ils se remettent ensemble et jouent tous ensemble le 3 octobre durant Aftershock à Sacramento.
