Alan Anthony Silvestri (born March 26, 1950) is an American composer, conductor, orchestrator and music producer of film scores. He has received two Grammy Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards as well as nominations for two Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
He has been associated with director Robert Zemeckis since 1984, composing music for nearly all of his feature films, including the Back to the Future film series (1985–1990), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Death Becomes Her (1992), Forrest Gump (1994), Contact (1997), What Lies Beneath (2000), Cast Away (2000), The Polar Express (2004), Beowulf (2007), Flight (2012) and The Walk (2015).
Silvestri also scored many other popular movies, including Predator (1987), The Abyss (1989), Father of the Bride (1991), The Bodyguard (1992), Eraser (1996), The Parent Trap (1998), Practical Magic (1998), Stuart Little (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), Lilo & Stitch (2002), Van Helsing (2004), the first three Night at the Museum films, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), The A-Team (2010), Ready Player One (2018), and five Marvel Cinematic Universe films: Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Avengers: Doomsday (2026).

Alan Silvestri né le 26 mars 1950 à New York est un compositeur américain de musique de film, d'origine italienne.
Il est surtout connu pour sa collaboration avec le réalisateur Robert Zemeckis pour qui il compose les musiques originales depuis le film d'aventures À la poursuite du diamant vert (1984). Pour le cinéaste, il signe par exemple la musique de la trilogie Retour vers le futur (1985-1990) et des films Qui veut la peau de Roger Rabbit (1988), Forrest Gump (1994) ou encore Contact (1997).
Ponctuellement, il collabore aussi avec James Cameron (Abyss, 1989), Mira Nair (La Famille Perez, 1995), Steven Spielberg (Ready Player One, 2018) ou encore John Frankenheimer (Piège fatal, 2000). Il signe également les bandes originales de Predator (1987) de John McTiernan et de la suite, Predator 2 (1990) de Stephen Hopkins.
Durant les années 2000, il signe aussi les bandes originales de plusieurs blockbusters réalisés par Stephen Sommers, comme Van Helsing. Il est par ailleurs le compositeur de la trilogie La Nuit au musée (2006-2014), réalisée par Shawn Levy.
À partir des années 2010, il s'impose comme le compositeur officiel de la franchise au très grand succès Avengers (2012-2019), après avoir signé la bande originale de Captain America: First Avenger (2011), de Joe Johnston.
